When clear came out with the add an extra service for $5 and keep the rate for life I was already a customer but a service rep contacted me and offer the deal to me as well a delivered the extra modem to my house. that impressed me since most companies only offer those kind of deals to new customers.

I started with clear about 6 weeks ago and was at first unimpressed. I am an obsessive tech hound and after several hours of tweeking my set-up and running ethernet cable correctly, I experience min. base speeds of 5Mbps with peak speeds of 9.5Mbps. This, to me, is amazing for a device that is wireless. Through my research and testing, I have developed several tricks not covered by technical support to facilitate both high levels of signal strength and high speeds. This includes use of an easy to construct reflector box. Please feel free to contact me regarding the design and other insightful hints for maximizing your use of Clear services.
